In my never ending, always challenging job of trying to get food into my daughters stomach, I will try ANYTHING. So, after not eating any of her cheerios this morning, I opt for some bananas and pancakes at 10:00. Keep in mind she has not eaten since dinner last night at 6:00. There's no way she's not hungry. So we sit down and she sees me putting some syrup on my pancakes and she actually asks for some. PERFECT! There's now way she won't eat her pancakes now! Every kid loves syrup! Guess what? I was wrong. She found that her banana worked great as a syrup getting tool. She mopped up all the syrup on the banana, then licked it all off. She didn't even bite any of the banana with it. Of course, after she literally licked her plate clean, without an ounce of any actual food getting in her, she asks for more syrup. At least she didn't look shocked when I told her no!
