Mother's Day...bust or blessing?

First, Happy Mother's Day to all!
Rob had to spend all morning at church, as they scheduled the confirmation ceremony for today, and Rob is a sponsor for one of the kids (young men) that was confirmed. I'm not sure why it was scheduled for Mother's Day, and maybe it's just a coincidence that it falls on this special day. Regardless, all morning I did feel a bit jaded because it was MY day, and I wasn't getting any help. I had in my head as I'm playing the "fly on Mommy's feet" game that I should be giving myself that facial that I had planned. Then as I was rolling play dough into little balls for Melody to line up, I was thinking about starting my stampin' up stamps that I just got. Finally, as we're marching around the house singing "Hi-Ho", like a bolt of lightening it hits me. THIS is what Mother's Day is. It's about me being a Mommy, and spending time with Melly. Look at this picture. Today, like every day, is a blessing.
