... and what a ride it's been! I love every minute of life. The good, the bad, and the ugly. Here it is for all the world to see.

Miss Manners
Rob was playing with Melody and they were "being" little construction workers. Rob says, "Thank you Workman". Melody replies, "You're pleasure!"

Bilingual just like Papa!
It's a running joke in my family about my father's (aka Papa) ability to understand and speak foreign languages. He passed Spanish in High School because the teacher feared having him in her class again. For all of the amazing things he knows and is capable of, languages is just not one of them. Especially Spanish, although I guess that's the only one he ever tried.
Melody was holding a Papa Juice (a Capri Sun that my father always has around for the kids, hence the name). She holds up her Papa Juice and says, "Papa Juice. That's how you say it in Spanish". Well Melody, that's probably exactly how Papa would say it in Spanish!

I've failed....
It would seem that I am now on the every 2-3 month schedule of downloading my pictures. There have been so many fun things that we have done, and they are all sitting in my camera. I do promise there will be many postings to come, with pictures instead of just words, so hang in there. I will try to make a New Year's resolution to get the pictures off of my camera at least every month. If I start now, I may just remember by New Year's!

For life, liberty, and the pursuit of toast
We went to the Statue of Liberty this weekend. I'll post pictures when I have more time. We had a ton of fun and Melody really seemed to get a lot out of it. So tonight we were talking about it to see what she remembered. We asked her what the statue was holding in her hand. She said 'a book'. We then asked what she was holding in her other hand. She replies, 'toast'.
What's in a name?
We were asking Melody what her middle name was. She kept saying "Jackson" (because she knows that comes after Melody). To try and clear it up a little bit we tell her that I use her middle name when I'm mad, so we then asked her "What does Mommy say after Melody when she's angry?" She puts up her little pointing finger and says, "Dawn NO!" So, if you ask Melody what her middle name is, it would be Dawn No.
